Nintendo 3DS reaches 60 million units sold

The portable system continues to sell.

Nintendo has announced that their handheld system, Nintendo 3DS, has now reached another milestone by passing over 60 million units sold worldwide. This happened sometime during May and was reported in the companies response to the latest NPD charts (if you don't know, those are the American industry sales figures).

It's still a way off outselling Nintendo DS (154 million units), although it is closing in on Game Boy Advance, which reached 82 million units sold.
