Warner Bros. are in talks with Shawn Levy to direct a Minecraft movie, according to Deadline.
Shawn Levy is best know as the producer for Night at the Museum, but he was also in charge of Real Steel, Date Night and The Internship. The film is also being produced by Roy Lee, alongside Jill Messick. Lee was the producer for The Lego Movie, also from Warner Bros.
It will be curious to see if Microsoft, who recently bought the rights for the game and the developer Mojang, will have anything to do with the movie. There are still no details on the concept behind the film, and as such there's still no sight of any kind of a release date schedule.
