Niantic - developer of the huge augmented reality game Pokémon Go - has announced the dates and times for the next community day, and trainers can look to head out to their local community park on May 19 between 15:00 and 18:00 in the hopes of encountering a special Pokémon. As well as this, the event will offer trainers the opportunity to learn a previously unavailable move for that Pokémon or its evolution.
This time around, the event's special Pokémon will be Torchic - the fire starter from the Hoenn region and the first stage of evolution on the way to obtaining a Blaziken. During the event, players will also be eligible to obtain 3x catch stardust and three-hour lures, so you can really elevate that catching spree. Niantic has also encouraged players to share their adventures across social media by using #PokemonGOCommunityDay.
Whilst this event is around one whole month away, trainers can look to participate in the Eggstravaganza which started April 16 and will last until April 23. This event will allow players to catch rare baby Pokémon such as Pichu, Magby, and Smoochum, all while gaining extra candies.
Will you be taking part in the Eggstravaganza or the community day?
