No time frame has been set for the next chapter in the Mass Effect series that is in development at Bioware Montreal, but it would appear that the project is progressing nicely. At least it's far enough along that it is being playtested.

Bioware general manager Aaryn Flynn took to Twitter to tease us with the following words:

"Great time playing the next Mass Effect game in Montreal. Ambitious. Beautiful. Fresh but recognizable. And fun!"

We expect Dragon Age: Inquisition to be Bioware's next release with Mass Effect 4 (or whatever it's going to be called) at some later point. Perhaps an early 2015 release is on the cards? Hopefully we'll see something from the next game in the series at E3 this summer.

REVIEW. Written by Mike Holmes

"There's enough of the series' DNA in there that fans will find this a worthwhile adventure."
