The grand final of the WRC 2021 eSports competition concluded last week (on September 8) in Athens, Greece, and it was Lohan "Nexl" Blanc that was crowned as champion. The 24-year-old won the competition with a time of 28.03 minutes extended across four rounds and only a 13 second lead over runner-up Sami-Joe Abi-Nakhle. It now marks the third time Nexl has won the event, as he took the top place on the podium in both 2017 and 2019.

"I am very happy to have won this competition, I can't believe it. I made some mistakes during the special stages, it's a new circuit, a new race, we all made some mistakes" said Nexl. "That's why I continue the competition, I'm very proud to have been able to win the race for the third time and to have been able to measure myself against such good drivers."

For his victory here Nexl has won himself a Toyota Yaris GR, Sami-Joe Abi Nakhle in second place has received a simulator donated by competition partners Fanatec, Playseat and BenQ/Mobiuz and Dylan Noel in third has been rewarded with a TW Steel watch.
