The Division 2 sells 10 times more copies on Uplay than the first

Ubisoft's recent earnings report reveals positive news for several games, including the Assassin's Creed franchise as well.

Ubisoft has just revealed their latest report for the last financial year, and here we find out that net bookings are up 46% over the last three years, with the last year up 17% year-on-year.

In the last financial year digital revenues have made up 69% of total revenue as well, compared to 58% the year before. Player recurring investment is also up 33% year-on-year, with back-catalog increasing by 39% as well.

Monthly active users are up 16% for console and PC games, and to talk about specific titles, we find out that Siege has accumulated a total of €1 billion, with a 40% increase in players compared to the year before to take it up to 45 million. The competitive scene for the game is also going strong, as esports hours watched is up 31% in the same time.

Q4 was a good time for Assassin's Creed Odyssey as well, with sell-through units up year-on-year, and Far Cry 5 is also the best-selling game on current gen when talking about units.

Perhaps most interesting is the news on The Division 2 though, as this has sold 10 times more on Uplay than its predecessor managed. There are also record highs for player engagement too, and it's worth noting that it wasn't released on Steam this time either, instead opting for the Epic Games Store.

PC popularity is actually up 79% year-on-year, representing 27% of total revenue, compared to 18% the year before. Uplay is also increased by a staggering 150% compared to the year before, with mobile increasing 73% and Asia up 62% too.
