The online passes, one-time codes supplied with games to discourage used game sales, that EA have utilised in a wide range of their games is no longer.

Yes, we're discontinuing Online Pass," wrote John Reseburg, Senior Director of Corporate Communications hos EA, in response to questions from GamesBeat. "None of our new EA titles will include that feature."

"Initially launched as an effort to package a full menu of online content and services, many players didn't respond to the format. We've listened to the feedback and decided to do away with it moving forward."

What do you think about online passes? Does it have any real effect or is it just a pain in the butt for players?
