The Avengers are returning to Fortnite in new crossover event

Longtime Fortnite players will already know about the spirit of cooperation between Epic and Disney, with Avengers-themed content added to the game last year. Now, with the series-finisher about to hit movie theatres, the two companies are once again assembling a special crossover event.

Fortnite creators Epic teased the collaboration on Twitter yesterday when the company's official account shared a picture of Captain America's shield alongside the tagline "whatever it takes". Not too subtle, then.

The Fortnite X Avengers crossover event is due to start later this week, on April 25, which is also the release date of the much-anticipated movie. However, the extent of the collaboration between the two remains to be seen. Could we get new skins or maybe even Avengers-themed weapons (like the shield pictured below)? Or might Epic have something a little more substantial waiting in the wings? We'll find out later this week.
