The Xbox One S All-Digital Edition might have been the main talking point from last night's Inside Xbox show, but we shouldn't forget that we also got a glimpse into Respawn Entertainment's Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order as well, including developer insights into the game.

"When we look at Star Wars and we look at what people want out of a Jedi-focused game, it's the story, it's the battle of light and darkness, it's falling in love with a character and the setting," narrative lead Aaron Contreras said during the show. "And we felt we could best serve that demand with a single-player game that really just let players immerse themselves inside Star Wars."

Contreras also explains a little bit about our hero Cal Kestis, who has gone through some trauma in his past, and also has the ability to use the Force. When talking about combat though, he explains that lightsabers are very important:

"Lightsaber combat is definitely a pillar of the game. We try to make our combat thoughtful, so it's not a button-masher, it's not hack and slash. You'll have to really look at enemies and what their strengths and weaknesses are, and then sort of deploy the right lightsaber move or force ability to get through the challenge. At the same time, Star Wars is a really wide audience, so we want to make the game as accessible as possible to anyone who picks up and plays it. It's gonna be fun, but if you put the time in to master the combat system there's a lot of depth there and we want that to be rewarding for people."

Does this sound like a good approach to a Star Wars game?

"This is the best Star Wars title that EA has released since it acquired the license to make games set in A Galaxy Far, Far Away."
