Capcom teased that an announcement was coming today, and now we know that this was the reveal of the Capcom Home Arcade, a plug-and-play home arcade machine which comes with 16 pre-loaded classic games.
The product itself - unlike other similar examples like Nintendo's NES and SNES Minis - is shaped like the Capcom logo itself, featuring Sanwa sticks and buttons on the surface. The games themselves are original Capcom arcade ROMs with emulation from FBAlpha, and there's co-op multiplayer to bring the arcade experience home as well, not to mention on-board WiFi to connect you to a worldwide leaderboard.
As for the games, these are as follows:
1944: The Loop Master
Alien vs Predator
Armored Warriors
Capcom Sports Club
Captain Commando
Cyberbots: Fullmetal Madness
Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors
Eco Fighters
Final Fight
Ghouls 'n Ghosts
Giga Wing
Street Fighter™ II: Hyper Fighting
Mega Man: The Power Battle
Progear
Strider
Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo
The Capcom Home Arcade is available from retailers in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, the Middle East, and Russia from October 25, costing £199.99 (€229.99).
Is this a good collection of games?
