Morkredd "plays around with the fear of the dark"

We spoke with Runa Haukland about the puzzle game at GDC, where we heard about its origins as a Game Jam project.

At the Game Developer Conference (GDC) earlier this year we saw a rather interesting puzzle game called Morkredd, and we spoke with Hyper Games project manager Runa Haukland about what the game is, and how it came to be in the first place.

"Morkredd is a co-op puzzle game where you play these dark characters and they need to ferry this orb of light through a very dark world, and you need to stay out of the shadows. That's the main basics," Haukland said.

"So Mørkredd means 'afraid of the dark' in Norwegian, and it started out as a Game Jam game where the theme was fear, so we played around with the fear of the dark, and that's how it came to be."
