We were playing innocently and ran into one offender, so here's what to watch out for when you're trying Respawn's game.

Here at Gamereactor several members of the team have been playing Respawn's battle royale game Apex Legends on various platforms, and as one of us played the PC version we ran into a speedhacker. This pretty means what the name implies - it's a hacker who has increased speed making it very hard to shoot them, as you can see in the clip below:

This is what you should watch out for then, and of course you should report it when you see it, as it's been flagged on Reddit, the EA forums, and other avenues. With 355,000 cheaters banned and more anti-cheat measures coming, this should hopefully be fixed sooner rather than later, since cheating is something the development team are taking very seriously.

This is also important for the long-term health of the game not only for casual players but as the esports scene starts to grow, as Penta Sports, Team Liquid, Gen.G, and more have revealed teams to compete in the game.

Have you run into any of these hackers yet?

REVIEW. Written by Mike Holmes

"The mix of weapons, the revive mechanic, the excellent design of the map, the fluidity of the controls, and the stellar gunplay all combine to make a slick first-person experience."
