When Bend Studio decided to delay Days Gone from February 22 to April 26 they made it clear that one of the reasons for the decision was the very strong competition around that time. That's made us fairly confident that we wouldn't see another delay of the highly-anticipated title, but it's still nice to see it confirmed.

The Oregon-based studio has announced that Days Gone has "gone gold", a term most of us have come to understand that means development is done and it's time to start printing discs. There's no mention of what's almost become an obligatory day one update, so let's hope that getting this news more than six weeks before launch means that a near-flawless experience awaits on April 26. Our recent hands-on with the game definitely left us impressed, so we dare to believe.

How about you? What are your expectations for Days Gone?

"We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Oregon. The story was interesting, the setting compelling, and the gameplay systems worked well together."
