The Division 2

The Division 2 is huge on PlayStation 4

Looking forward to Ubisoft's highly anticipated title? We hope you have as much time as you have space on your hard drive, as you'll be downloading an enormous day-one update.

Ubisoft has made it very clear that The Division 2 will take us to a beautiful Washington DC filled with lots of things to see and do. Getting as much bang for our proverbial buck is obviously something we love, but PlayStation 4 owners will see a less positive consequence of this.

The Division 2's support site recently got updated, and one of the most interesting things mentioned is the game's file size and the day one update. PC and Xbox One players can look forward to downloading a mandatory update weighing in at around 48-52 GB before being able to play. That's definitely not small, but the good news is that this is also the game's entire install size so nothing we don't see fairly often these days.

The same can't be said for the PlayStation 4 version. It doesn't matter if you purchase The Division 2 physically or digitally, you'll have to download a whopping 88-92 GB update, almost double the file size of the other platforms. Like the PC and Xbox One versions, the update will also be the entire install. We hope you have a great internet connection and a lot of free space on your hard drive come March 15 (or March 12 if you purchase one of the special editions.)

The good news is that a much smaller update, approximately 2 GB in size, that arrives on March 11 will fix the audio issues that many of us experienced in the open beta.
