We've been to plenty of different studios over the years, and getting to see where and how the games are made by going deep behind the scenes is an incredible experience. When in Chicago for the Mortal Kombat 11 event recently we got to see the remarkable headquarters of Netherrealm Studios. With a gorgeous design as a base, tons of crazy memorabilia (such as an actual arcade by the cafeteria with one-of-a-kind arcade machines inside), a huge motion capture studio, a packed prop closet, fancy sound editing and recording spaces, facial scanning technology, and a secret meeting room (they insisted didn't hold anything special within, but we know better than to believe that) there was more than enough to leave our jaws on the floor long after leaving.
Netherrealm is a studio that really does do as much as possible on location and it was truly incredible to see how much care is put into every aspect of the games they make. Check out the photos we took during the event (where the hands-on sessions were held) during our studio tour below, and for more on Mortal Kombat 11 check out our recent preview.
