Ubisoft has revealed that The Division 2 has received an Echo experience on mobile devices, which is an augmented reality app now available across Europe, Middle-East, and Asia that can be accessed on mobile via this link.

This app is accessible exclusively on Messenger and lets fans dive into the narrative of the game a bit more, providing 50 different stories showing the lives of civilians in the game world of Washington DC, seven months after the virus hit New York City as we saw in the first game.

Users will be able to visit points of interest like schools, banks, and grocery stores, and location coordinates are provided using an integrated GPS. What's more is that as you unlock these Echo stories you also get exclusive rewards and in-game items when the game itself launches on PC, PS4, and Xbox One on March 15.

Ubisoft hasn't been shy in promoting The Division 2, as not only have we had an open beta (which we streamed, as you can see in the replay below) but they also hired Ross Kemp to narrate Dark Zone stories from players of the beta and the first game.

Will you be trying this Echo experience out? If so, check out the screenshots and trailer below.

REVIEW. Written by Eirik Hyldbakk Furu

"A couple of faults don't detract from the fact that The Division 2 is one of, if not the, best looter-shooters in years."
