The Grand Heist update for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 was only released last week on PS4, but with the introduction of loot boxes (or 'Cases' as they're called) there was a strong backlash, one which even prompted Treyarch's David Vonderhaar to respond after people pointed out how his pre-release statements on earning characters differ from how you can unlock them now.

Since then Treyarch and Activision have released a new update on February 22 addressing progression in the Black Market, as detailed on Reddit. The big takeaways from this include the fact that Reserve Cases are again earnable at every Tier past 100 in Contraband, with Daily Tier Skips again applying after the 100-Tier mark as well. What's more is that Reserve Cases can be earned at double the rate of before, and Cases are retroactively given to all who progressed passed Tier 100 before the update, one for each extra Tier achieved.

On top of the progression changes we also find out that Hot Pursuit has been added as a playlist on PS4, Close Quarters Frenzy Quads has been added as Featured Playlist in Blackout on Xbox One and PC, parties won't disband after League Play matches in the World League Hub, and a whole load of other changes you can find in the Reddit link above.

Are you glad progression has been tweaked?
