Fallout 76 has big plans for 2019

The folks over at Bethesda weren't exactly able to go home for an early holiday when they shipped Fallout 76. Instead, they had to work extremely hard to fix and improve upon the many issues the game had at launch the remaining six weeks of 2018. It shouldn't come as a surprise then that they're stepping things up this year.

Bethesda has unveiled their roadmap for Fallout 76 this year, and it sounds like we can expect great things throughout the year. Everything starts on March 12, when the season called Wild Appalachia starts. That might be worth celebrating, so we'll learn brewing and distilling. We hope you like making Nukashine and other drinks because everything else seems to be spread out over the following two months. Some of the highlights include two new quest where we'll have to separate monsters from myth and earn our badges as scouts before being rewarded with a customisable backpack for increased utility. Player vending will also finally arrive in April, but you might want to consider pay the new Legendary vendor Purveyor a visit if you want to exchange some of your gear for a chance to get Legendary stuff. If you do, it might be worth celebrating with the brand new functional camera. This can also be used to take pictures of your beautiful C.A.M.P. after decorating it with stuff from your stash. All of this on top of a new seasonal event called Fasnacht Parade and the release of the PvP-focused Survival mode.

Then we'll have to wait for summer to see the new season, weirdly enough called Nuclear Winter, arrive. Details are a bit more scarce on this one, but we're told to expect a new mode that will deliver an "entirely new way to play that changes the rules of the wasteland". Vault 94 and 96 are also set to open, so experienced players can test their strength in new high-level group Vault Raids. Those of you who have passed level 50 can also try out the new prestige system resetting your characters with all new more powerful abilities as Legendary players.

Considering how little Bethesda is willing to share about Nuclear Winter, you probably won't be especially surprised to hear that we get even less information about the fall season called Wastelanders. It does sound interesting, however, as it'll set us out on a "tale with true choice and consequences" where we can expect new factions, new events, new features and more.
