The fantastic story focused wild west (or, rather, the death of the wild west) action game Red Dead Redemption 2 quickly became a massive hit, praised by critics and gamers alike, and Rockstar wants its online mode to be just as successful as the modern day counterpart GTA online was (and still is). Next week, Red Dead Redemption Online will be getting a major content update, bringing plenty of activities for players to enjoy.

Starting off with Fool's Gold. This added piece of content is a multiplayer free roam event in which players fight for the right to wear a golden armour and then fight equally as hard to keep it as the opposing players try to take it from the wearer. Other than this neat king of the hill-style mode, players will be taking on fishing challenges, providing us with everything needed to catch a water-lurking beast. Additionally, players will be seeing new weapons, new pieces of clothing, as well as emotes for their characters.

As for the PlayStation 4 timed exclusive deal, the PlayStation players will get access to open target races as well as the melee weapon, Jawbone knife.

The update lands on February 26 and until then, players can enjoy a 20% XP bonus. Read more here.
