World War Z

World War Z will be launching in April

Pre-orders are now open for the zombie shooter, giving extra in-game items to help you dispatch the undead hordes.

Saber Interactive and Focus Home Interactive have today revealed that World War Z is coming to PC (via the Epic Games Store), PS4, and Xbox One on April 16, and the pair also revealed that the game is now available to pre-order via the website as well.

All pre-orders come with the free Lobo Weapon Pack, dropping golden skins for the ARK-103 assault rifle, Keris V10 SMG, and 1911 Protector, as well as the Lobo melee weapon. This last weapon is a bit of a beast as well, as it's a dual-bladed spade to carve up the undead.

Just last week Saber and Focus Home Interactive revealed a brand new trailer to us that showed off what they called the PvPvZ multiplayer action, balancing combat against your fellow players with the undead zombies. There's also co-op if you want a more friendly time of things too, although bear in mind the zombies powered by the Swarm Engine won't exactly make this a walk in the park.

Are you pleased to finally see a release date?
