Saber Interactive has let loose a brand new trailer for their zombie game World War Z in which we can see new gameplay that pits player vs players vs zombies (or the catchy name of PvPvZ that they came up with), which is slightly different to the four-player co-op in the sense that you have to compete with each other while also surviving against the undead.
Saber Interactive explains that what sets this multiplayer apart is the zombie swarm which acts uniquely, since it storms the arena throughout the match which divides attention between your fellow players and these pests. Multiplayer modes include the following:
The Swarm Engine helps power these zombies, and if you're not fighting against each other you can always work together with friends using six classes between four players. The game is of course based on the film of the same name, and your fight against these undead menaces will let you use a number of traps and weapons.
Last month Saber Interactive dropped some deadly new screenshots on us to give us a taste of what's coming, but if you want more of a glimpse into the hordes specifically, last year's trailer does just that.
World War Z will launch for PC, PS4, and Xbox One later this year. Does PvPvZ sound like your cup of tea?
