Rumour: More Smash Bros. Ultimate amiibos emerge

A new image allegedly from a guide in Japan reveals new amiibos for the game, including Snake and Pokémon Trainer.

Amiibos have become rather popular in the Nintendo community, and something that's also proved rather popular is the new Super Smash Bros. Ultimate released last month. That's why it might not come as a surprise to hear rumours about more amiibos coming for the fighting game.

This latest rumour comes from a Twitter account called Amiibo Alerts as well as the amiibo subreddit, which show images allegedly from an amiibo Discord channel:

Snake and Pokémon Trainer amiibos are getting people talking in these images, and Nintendo Wire claim that they have confirmed the images are from an official guide for the game from Japan. Placeholder spots can be seen for Simon, Richter, Dark Samus, and Chrom too.

Even before release we knew that the likes of Ridley, Inkling, and Wolf would be getting amiibos, but we haven't seen a lot of details regarding other character amiibos thus far. As per usual take this with a pinch of salt though, as everything is still unconfirmed by Nintendo.

King K. Rool and Ice Climbers amiibos are coming on February 15, with Young Link, Daisy, Pichu, Isabelle, and Ken coming this year too, but we'll also be seeing Piranha Plant as well, as seen in the images.
