With Sony not in any way participating at E3 2019, some people have wondered whether Microsoft and Nintendo will be more careful with revealing everything so they have things to show at a later point if Sony brings out big guns at a later point. But at least for Microsoft, that doesn't seem to be the case.

In an interview with Xbox head honcho Phil Spencer over on Major Nelson Radio, the former reveals that Microsoft won't be holding back one bit at E3 despite Sony's decision:

"There was obviously some news about E3 back in the Fall and we had a discussion internally of "should we go big? Should we save some money? You know... what does that mean?

We just said, "No, we are going to do our thing. We're going to go and be as big at E3 as we've ever been. I love that opportunity to be with our fans and the industry."

Regarding what to expect, Spencer also adds they will talk about both "long term and near term" and that he is "more of a proponent of being as transparent as you can be". If this means we'll get to see some fairly distant games remains to be seen, but it looks like E3 is shaping up to be a blast - just as it was in previous years. And as usual, you'll be able to read all about it here on Gamereactor.

Since it's still such a long time to go to E3, let's take a look at the lovely video our dedicated expo crew delivered last year, just for some fond memories.
