The festive period means a lot of games are getting content for the holidays, and while the new PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds map Vikendi isn't necessarily tailored for the season, it does have snow inspired by European mountains, and has landed today on PC alongside the Survivor Pass.
This map offers new mechanics, vehicles, and terrains, with a map-exclusive weapon, the G36C 5.56mm assault rifle, having easier handling than its 7.62mm counterpart but with less damage. Footprints are the new mechanic that should offer a whole new approach in playing, as you can see where enemies have been and vice versa. As for vehicles, the highlights are the two snowmobiles that will make traversing more fun.
Vikendi is a 6x6 area with locations like Dinoparks, Central Labyrinth, Cosmodrome, and European style towns. It also has forests, a new feature that will offer more complex hiding and gunfighting.
As for Survivor Pass: Vikendi, tickets will let players get skins and exclusive gifts over 10 weeks by completing over 300 missions or just playing the game. Access to the pass is free, but exclusive missions, faster leveling, and additional prizes can be accessed by buying the Premium Pass at $9.99 USD.
Right now this map is only available on PC and PUBG Mobile, while PS4 and Xbox One versions will have it in January. For more information regarding the map, check the dev diary about making Vikendi below.
