Nintendo has officially revealed that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is now the best-selling game in Europe ever made for a Nintendo console, surpassing launch sales of games like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, which to date they have already sold over 10 million copies.

In fact, the total European sales (including retail units, bundles, and eShop downloads) in the first three days of launch exceeded those of Mario Kart Wii by 30%, which has sold over 37 million copies across the world. Along with strong retail sales, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is also the best-selling game ever in the Nintendo eShop.

"Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is the biggest Super Smash Bros. ever, and it's not only the best-selling game in the series in Europe, but it's also become the best-selling Nintendo home console game of all time," said Stephan Bole, Nintendo of Europe's COO.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is now available on Nintendo Switch and you can read our review over here, where we heap more praise on the game to join the long list of fans that the fighter has accumulated.

Do you think it's worthy of all these records?
