Recently, it was revealed that the Chinese government has put in place a special ethics board to determine which games are allowed onto the market, and which should be either banned or modified to suit the population. We already knew that the board had been reviewing titles for a little while, and now it seems they're ready to ban some very popular games.

However, do take this with a grain of salt. A user on Reddit claims to have spotted precisely which games have been up for review on a Chinese gaming forum called NGA.

The list includes big titles like Arena of Valor and World of Warcraft, which both need "corrective action" according to the translated report, but games like PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds and Fortnite apparently contains too much "blood, gore and vulgar content", and so they need to be "prohibited/withdrawn".

These games, according to the source, are potential sources of "ethical risks". It appears that these reviews will happen in batches. Blizzard did, however, briefly state, that they have not received any notice to correct or change World of Warcraft in China, but that message has apparently been deleted.

You can look at the entire list through the link above.
