During the annual Game Awards Mortal Kombat 11 was finally revealed after tons of rumours circulating for weeks and months. While there's no clear word on how large the character roster is this time around, we might have an idea on how many will arrive after the game launches on April 23.
According to the game's store page on GameStop Italy - which details the contents of the Premium Edition for the game - six fighters will be added post-launch, which is less than both Mortal Kombat X and Injustice (eight and nine respectively).
Furthermore, it would seem that Mortal Kombat 11 seeks to copy the visual customisation options of Injustice 2 through the "Variations System", which gives players the ability to "customize the variants of your fighters down to the smallest detail, gaining unprecedented control over the aesthetics of the characters," as the store page says.
Lastly, Netherrealm may also be banking on creating a Games as Service vibe with a "strong multiplayer component, entirely oriented towards the esports: personalization systems, daily news, constantly updated rewards and an improved matchmaking [sic]."
What do you want to see from this new Mortal Kombat?
