While the talk of the town inevitably is centered around Red Dead Redemption 2 right now, it's pretty clear that Spider-Man will be among the best-selling games of the year, as it broke Sony first party records back in September. We've already seen reports of the amount of physical games sold, and now a digital report follows suit.
SuperData has published a report which reveals that Spider-Man managed to sell 2.17 million copies in September. That, however, doesn't mean that the game is at the top of the charts when it comes to digital copies sold in that month, as that honour belongs to Destiny 2, thanks to the Forsaken expansion.
All in all, consumers spent $1.24 billion USD on digital console games during the month of September, which is way up compared to the $912 million spent last year. Below you can find the top list for the month in digital games:
1. Destiny 2
2. Spider-Man
3. FIFA 19
4. Fortnite
5. NBA 2K19
6. FIFA 18
7. Call of Duty: WWII
8. Shadow of the Tomb Raider
9. Grand Theft Auto V
10. PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds
