Slime Rancher has been a huge success for developers Monomi Park selling more than 1.4 million copies since originally appearing as a Steam Early Access title. Having enjoyed success on PC and Xbox One the game is now also heading to PS4 digitally on August 21, but that's not all as the game will also be getting a retail release on PS4 and Xbox One on September 7 (September 4 in North America).

The retail box will include a Slimepedia Booklet (beginner's guide), digital download of the soundtrack, and a discount voucher for Slime Rancher merchandise. There will also be console exclusive content in the shape of heroic adventurer (PS4) and pirate (Xbox One) costumes as well as console specific Chroma packs.
