August 7 - Daybreak Games' H1Z1 Battle Royale launches fully as free-to-play on PS4. Hearthstone expands with new adventure The Boomsday Project. Rogue-lite metroidvania action-platformer Dead Cells sees full release on PC, as well as PS4 and Xbox One. Zoink Games delivers a tale from the other side (or well both sides as it turns out) with Flipping Death on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One. The rather striking couch co-op title Slam Land arrives on PC, PS4, and Switch.

August 8 - Wadjet Eye Games' Unavowed is an adventure game with branching story and supernatural undertones that's coming to PC.

August 9 - City of the Shroud is a decision-based RPG where not just your choices, but the choices of all players will shape the world, and it sees release this day on PC. Gladiabots lets you design and program the AI of robots that then do combat on your behalf, first stop is Steam Early Access. The rather lovely Minit hits Nintendo Switch. Monster Hunter World was a huge success on consoles and now it's finally ready for release on PC. The PS2 classic Okami hits Nintendo Switch with an HD remaster. Creative Assembly drops an expansion for Total War: Rome II called Rise of the Republic which offers a prequel to the main campaign of the game.

August 10 - Pigskin lovers rejoice as Madden NFL 19 arrives on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Tiny Hands Adventure isn't a political game as you might be led to believe, but rather a platformer where you help a young t-rex find larger hands (PC, Switch). Compulsion Games' long awaited 1960s inspired psycho-drug adventure We Happy Few finally launches in its full and final form on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
