For Honor's upcoming expansion, Marching Fire, is coming later this October. It is going to be the biggest update for the game and includes a new game mode, Breach, revamped graphics, and a brand new faction, the Wu Lin. These brave Chinese warriors will be available in four classes: Shaolin, Tiandi, Jiang Jun, and Nuxia.
So, why has Ubisoft chosen these Chinese warriors as their new fighters? Damien Kieken gave us some insight into the decision:
"You know, when we look at creating new fighters, we always start with the weapon, that's how we did it," Kieken told us at E3. "Their name in fact, in the code, is the name of their weapon. So when we're looking for a new faction, we're looking for culture that had a lot of depth in martial arts, that had a huge variety of weapons, and China was really one of the easiest choice to make.
"It really made sense and it's a very varied culture, they have a lot of different martial arts, their weapons are amazing, and so that's how we made the choice to introduce those for our new characters with their own weapon."
