PUBG has sold over 50 million copies, 400 million players

It's easy to forget about PUBG as Fortnite, a free-to-play game, has sort of taken away its spotlight. It's easy to forget that this subgenre was completely dominated by PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds at this point last year, and even though it doesn't have the same growth anymore, it is still extremely popular.

The developer has now revealed that they have now reached over 400 million players of the game (including smartphones) and sold more than 50 million copies of the game. This is also celebrated with the first PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds sale on Steam so far, as the price is discounted by a third (33%) on Steam until July 5.
