During Microsoft's E3 presser we got the tiniest glimpse of the next map coming to PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds. All we can say for certain after having watched the brief teaser is that snow is going to feature prominently on the new map.
Now, however, creative lead Brendan Greene has given us a little more to go on, roughly confirming the size of the map in question. Apparently, it will sit somewhere between original maps Erangel and Miramar (both 8x8km) and the coming third map, the 4x4km Sanhok.
"No, we're looking at somewhere in between," Greene confirmed to PC Gamer. "We found 8-by-8, it's great, but it takes an inordinate amount of time to get maps of that scale done. So, we're looking from a gameplay point of view, we might shrink it down a little bit. We don't have exact sizing yet, but it'll be somewhere in between I think."
