According to Siliconera it's Sony Investor Relations day today, and the President and CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment - John Kodera - has made some statements about the company's business plans, which have been relayed to us via Twitter by Takashi Mochizuki from The Wall Street Journal, catching our eye for a number of reasons.

Kodera has, among other things, made statements about PSVR, first party-titles and the life cycle of the PS4, saying "PSVR growing, but industry's growth is below market expectations. PS Vue is facing harder-than-expected competitions. Vue and PSVR would aim for further growth with realistic outlook," and "Beefing up first-party titles wouldn't just mean more new IPs. Strategy includes franchising successful IPs and refreshing existing IPs".

Perhaps most interesting though is the comment that the "PS4 is entering final phase of its life cycle, which would have negative impact to the unit, but recurring revenue via membership services etc should cushion some of that."

What do you make of these comments?
