The latest update to Call of Duty: WWII's online multiplayer portion means there's currently double the experience points to earn in several maps and modes, and also the return of the controversial - but requested - Ground War playlist.

Speaking of the former, you can get double the XP when playing Nazi Zombies and One Shot, as part of a promotion that will be gone at the end of the day, but the biggest news is the latter, as Ground War playlists make a comeback, now with plans to stay (and they also provide 2XP at launch).

These were added a month ago, then removed, and even former Sledgehammer studio head Michael Condrey found it "not holding up as well when playing 9v9" as when in 6v6, hence they considered building dedicated maps for the list and even doubting it'd eventually come back.

However, Ground War is back and you can check out how it performs in terms of spawn points and tight 9v9 fun. What's your take on Ground War?

REVIEW. Written by Ford James

"The campaign is phenomenal, and the Zombies mode is probably the best it's ever been."
