Bethesda has finally revealed the first gameplay footage of Rage 2 in action. The sci-fi shooter sequel is being developed as a joint operation by id Software (Rage, Doom) and Avalanche Studios (Mad Max, Just Cause), and precisely because Rage 2 is the work of two massive studios, Bethesda claims this is a "fucking AAAAAA game!".
The game will hopefully blend the strengths of the two studios, mainly the frenetic first-person shooting mechanics honed over the years by id Software, and the open-world madness and vehicular chaos that is usually associated with Avalanche Studios.
Rage 2 will be released in 2019 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, and you can watch the first gameplay trailer below. Bethesda also promises to show more at E3, which is just a few short weeks away. In the meantime, we've got gameplay below, as well as bunch of screens (some of which came via Bethesda, the others we snapped ourselves from the trailer).
