Upcoming PUBG patch aims to improve weapon balance

Developers looking for more diversity in weapon use.

  • Text: David Kers

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is getting a new patch which will improve the weapon balance. In a Steam post developer PUBG Corp. states that it is looking " to make it so no one gun will feel objectively better than the others". From research it was shown that only a handful of weapons, assault rifles, are used in PUBG.

The studio believes that the gun should be "based on personal preference and effectiveness in any given situation", instead of "which gun is strongest". The new patch will also change the weapon attachments to offer a wider range of options, instead of just picking the "best" attachment. It will also remove the Level Three Helmet from the normal loot spawn tables and limit it to care packages.

What do you think of these changes in PUBG?
