Earlier this week HTC unveiled the launch date of its new Vive Pro VR headset, which lands in stores on April 5. The two shiny, new OLED screens are now capable of displaying 1440×1600 pixels (a 78 percent increase), while the gadget itself comes with integrated headphones and a new headstrap that will do a better job distributing the weight evenly. This upgrade won't be inexpensive, however, because the price tag is £799 (€879), so clearly it will mainly appeal to those who have the funds and who have already embraced VR.

On the other hand, HTC will lower the predecessor's price to £499 (€599) once the Pro model launches, so if you still want to buy the old hardware you can save €100 just by waiting two more weeks. Of course, this is still far from cheap, as the Oculus Rift and Sony's PSVR headsets are available at a much lower price.
