What a day for rumours about AAA games. Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, Battlefield V and now Grand Theft Auto VI, the sequel to the biggest seller of the generation, with more than 90 million copies sold and a huge online following with GTA Online. The YouTube show The Know, hosted by Ashley Jenkins and Gus Sorola and with a massive 1.2 million subscribers, got a tip about Grand Theft Auto VI location details.
The source says that the new entry is called Project Americas and takes place in Miami or a similar place. They don't know if or how this would be related to Vice City, but we doubt the 80s vibe will be present in GTA VI.
But this isn't the only place you will visit, nor even the only country. The Know points out that the name in plural means that players will travel to South America to complete some missions. It is well known that Miami has a long relationship with drug smuggling, so they speculate about the potential for Colombia being the other location.
For our part, we could also see Cuba as a potential candidate, particularly if Rockstar is pushing a Scarface angle. But that's just speculation on top of a rumour, of course.
What would you say about spending some quality time in Rockstar's version of Florida?
