Kingdom Come: Deliverance is proving divisive amongst players and critics alike, and even for those among us who have played it for review here at Gamereactor, the game is causing internal conflict. Why? Because it's a really interesting RPG hampered by some serious technical issues, with lots of bugs, instability, and even significant frame-rate drops plaguing the experience.

The historically-themed RPG already has received a huge day one patch that improved things quite a bit, but there are still plenty of bugs out there waiting to be squashed, and a number of performance related issues that also need attention. Developer Warhorse Studios has acknowledged as much, and has promised players that more patches are on the way soon.

"We are aware about the bugs that could happen and working hard on fixing them. Steam has latest patch already, console owners will get this patch (1.0.3 for PS4, 1.0.0.118 Xbox) ASAP. PS4 patches 1.0.1 & 1.0.2 are the same, the difference is only in territory," Warhorse chief Daniel Vavra wrote on Twitter. "Next patch is coming soon and will fix lot of quest bugs and other issues like frame drops. Expected release in approx 2 weeks."

Vavra wasn't specific with regards to which quest bugs will be patched, but given the number of things we encountered that need fixing, and the fact that 280 characters on Twitter isn't enough to go into lots detail, we can understand why. As we wrote in our review, Kingdom Come: Deliverance is an RPG with lots of potential. It's a shame, then, that the game has launched in this state, and that paying players still have to wait on much-needed technical fixes weeks after launch.

"Despite some frustrations, upon reflection, there's a lot to like about this medieval adventure."
