As we've previously reported, Metro Exodus will differ quite a bit from its predecessors with its open world approach. Not that it'll be just like Grand Theft Auto V or The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, but still enough to give you the choice of where to go. These areas will be pretty big though (up to several square kilometres) so walking will take forever, especially if you are a completionist who wants to do everything. Therefore, vehicles will be usable this time to speed things up.

It's worth noticing that Metro Exodus is still a linear game storywise, so if you leave an area (think of it as several open areas rather than one world), you might not be able to get back.

We still don't have a release date for Metro Exodus, but it will launch later this year for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Metro Exodus
Not all vehicles found in the game will be drivable.

Thanks, GameInformer

REVIEW. Written by Lisa Dahlgren

"The many options, both in terms of gameplay and your arsenal, make Metro Exodus feel much like a full-fledged action-RPG"
