Streaming platform Twitch has just released some data about their streams in 2017, and it's great news not just for them, but for the heavy-hitters who used their service to great effect last year, namely PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, which was the most-watched new title in terms of minutes viewed.
Overall though there were 355 billion minutes watched throughout the year, with over two million unique monthly broadcasters, over 27,000 partnered streamers, and over 124 million total clips. In terms of money though, over $30 million USD was raised for charity, and there were 223% more creators earning money, so it's doing well in this department too.
Behind PUBG in terms of minutes watched for new games sits Fortnite, which isn't all that surprising given its own surge in popularity, followed by Destiny 2, FIFA 18, and For Honor. For more on Twitch's year though check out the infographic down below, which summarises it all nicely.
