Call of Duty: Black Ops 4

More sources claim the next Call of Duty is Black Ops 4

Treyarch developing, more grounded offering rumoured.

Just the other day we caught wind that the next game in the long-running shooter series from Activision would be Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, and now more reports are emerging that suggest that those initial rumours are indeed correct.

The latest outlet to come out and claim that the next Call of Duty will be Black Ops 4 is Eurogamer, and they're saying that they've got multiple sources claiming the same thing, reaffirming that Treyarch is once again back on the case, although they haven't been able to verify claims that Blops 4 would also be heading to Switch.

There's not a huge amount to report beyond that, other than they're hearing that the fourth entry in the Black Ops series will be more grounded than the futuristic third outing. Given the warm reception enjoyed by WWII since it launched in November, if a more realistic setting is in the works then more boots-on-the-ground gameplay may well prove to be a canny decision.

The series could return to something more realistic, relatively speaking of course.
