PUBG sold more than 26 million copies in Early Access

Latest stats further demonstrate the game's popularity.

PUBG Corp. has just lifted the lid on a number impressive stats for its mildly popular Battle Royale-inspired shooter, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds.

According to the infographic you can see below, the game shifted a massive 26 million copies while in Early Access (that's across both Steam and Xbox), with a concurrent player count of 3.14 million. Apparently more than 2.7 billion hours have been poured into the game so far, not too shabby when you consider it has only been out in the wild for less than a year.

The most popular in-game weapon was the M416, while those inclined to drive instead of walk prefer to do so in the UAZ above all others. On the other hand, we were disappointed to hear that only 13.4 million players have been killed using frying pans. For shame.
