Last Friday, Robbie Lakeman streamed for almost four hours with the goal of beating his own record, set last December on Donkey Kong. His previous best was 1,230,100, so by reaching the score of 1,247,700, Lakeman has continued his run as the best Donkey Player on the planet. The record has just been validated by Twin Galaxies, the official referee for these retro records, so it's official.

Keep in mind that this is not an episode of Donkey Kong Country, released on SNES, or even the sequel that released on Wii U. Lakeman broke his record for the 1981 original, Donkey Kong. This arcade classic stars Mario (who was still called Jumpman at the time) and was the focus of the superb indie documentary, The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters.

A cult game for the ages, enthusiasts are still fighting over who gets to put their three letters at the top of the screen more than 35 years after its release. The video of the world record can be seen here if you want to pick up a few tricks from the world champ.
