Rumours and discussions about a film set in the Duke Nukem universe have been going around for more than a decade, but things seemed to get more serious when Gearbox Software's Randy Pitchford confirmed that they were in talks with a major film studio last year. Now we might know which company he was talking about, and who they want to star as the man that is all out of bubblegum.
The Hollywood Reporter claims that Paramount is teaming up with Platinum Dunes (Michael Bay, Andrew Form, and Brad Fuller's company) to make the film a reality, and that they're already in talks with the wrestler/actor John Cena to star as Duke.
Things are still very much in the planning stages though, as the studios haven't even found a writer for the film yet. That makes for a great opportunity to get your ideas on paper for a Duke Nukem movie. How would you bring Duke to the big screen?
