Film companies usually love announcing the premiere dates of their upcoming titles a long time in advance, so we weren't exactly surprised when 20th Century Fox decided to reveal that Deadpool 2's premiere would be June 1, 2018 last April. Well, it seems like the human mutant has been running his mouth so fast that the film will be ready sooner than expected.
Shortly after that The Hollywood Reporter claimed 20th Century Fox had decided to change the release dates for Deadpool 2, The New Mutants, and Gambit, Ryan Reynolds tweeted that Deadpool 2 indeed has been moved forward to May 18. Great news in our opinion.
Unfortunately, this also indicates that the delays of the two other films are correct as well. That means a ten month delay for The New Mutants and four months for Gambit. The former was supposed to launch on April 13 of this year but has now been delayed to February 22 next year, while Gambit has been delayed once again after Gorbinski's exit, from February 14, 2019 to June 7, 2019.
