FIFA 18's Team of the Year candidates announced

FIFA 18's Team of the Year celebrates all of the best players in the beautiful game, and now we know the candidates for this year's instalment, which will decide the 11 best players arriving later to Ultimate Team and FIFA Mobile card packs.

This year there's a new system for selecting the team, as instead of announcing 11 players straight away, EA Sports has opened the list of candidates up to people from the media, the community, and the sport. Each must select one goalkeeper, four defenders, three midfielders, and three attackers, and you can see the shortlist down below.

Representative votes count for 60% of the final result while EA Sports keeps the other 40%, and these votes are totally transparent, as representatives must publish their FIFA 18 TOTY on Twitter with the hashtag #TOTYVote. Winners will be announced on January 15, so there's not long to wait before we see who's made the cut.
