Demon's Souls is the From Software game that started the runaway success of the Souls series, popularised hugely by Dark Souls later on, but if you want to enjoy this piece of history as it was intended, you better hurry up.
On the game's official Twitter account it has now been confirmed that the eight-year-old game is getting its online servers shut down, and this will happen on February 28. It will however be possible to play the game offline.
"After 9 years of reoccurring deaths and frustrations, but just as many triumphs of dedication, Demon's Souls online servers will terminate on February 28, 2018. Play online one last time, and share with us your best Demon's Souls moment!," the post reads.
To remind you what this removes, once the servers are closed you won't be able to see the ghosts of those that have died before you, read hint messages, or get assistance from your fellow players, all of which might make the game a damn sight harder than with the servers active.
Are you going to give Demon's Souls a spin before the servers are turned off?
