During Microsoft's E3 press conference, developer Mojang took to the stage to announce the new Super Duper Graphics Pack, an optional update to Minecraft that adds better lighting, textures, and more to the base game.
However, during this year's MineCon Earth Expo, the developer had to concede that the update will not be available this year as planned. Instead, the pack will be pushed into an unspecified date in 2018.
And that's not the end of the bad news, as Mojang also announced that cross platform play on the Nintendo Switch has also been delayed, and will now launch sometime in 2018 as well.
